ABOUT US
My name is Angelica
Nilsson Mansfield and I am the owner of Westdream's Kennel. I live in
the small village of Nygård, about 40 km north of Göteborg, in the Västra Götaland region, together with my
husband
Magnus and our animals. Our dogs are obvious family members,
living with us in our house. I keep a maximum of 3 dogs at home
at the same time. This, I feel, is just enough for me handle as
they all need their fair share of one-on-one time, love and
training.

Already as a child I had
a huge interest in dogs and animals. This interest has increased
over the years and I also want continue learning - in theory as
well as in practice. Just recently I decided to realise my long
time dream - to start breeding Cocker Spaniels on a small scale
basis. The prefix is basically me living on the WEST coast and
having had this DREAM for a long time, thus Westdream seemed
like a very suitable choice. It was approved by the SKK/FCI in
March, 2010. I have taken part in a Breeder's Seminar organised
by the SKK, something I would really recommend to everybody.
Since early 2011 I am also a member of the Western Cocker Club's
Committee.
So, why Cocker Spaniels? To me the Cocker is perfect dog - its positive attitude towards life, merry nature, appropriate size and lovely coat make it ideal for a variety of activities and canine sports. It is a great family dog seeking to co-operate with its owner, and has a huge need for closeness and body contact. All these qualities are things I appreciate in a dog.
